Nestled upon the banks of the Merrimack River, Amesbury has evolved from an iconic textile mill community into a popular suburban destination. The tightly-knit and lively downtown district consists of a diverse and welcoming collection of restaurants, bars, taverns, clothing outlets, spas, art galleries, and more. Refurbished and renovated mill buildings sit above a hidden creek and raised walkways lead to a number of sprawling waterfalls. Amesbury is also home to Lake Gardener with its beach, Cider Hill Farm, Wolf Meadow Farm, Amesbury Sports Park, and the Riverwalk, all popular destinations for outdoor activities. Some of the North Shore’s scenic beaches are less than a 15 minute drive away.

Some of our favorite local food and drink establishments include Phat Cats Bistro, CRAVE Kitchen and Wine Bar, Flatbread's, Ale House, Hodgie's Ice Cream and the Market Street Bakehouse
